Some amazing songs have come from fake musicians in movies and on TV shows.

I would say this list loses some validity by not even putting Spinal Tap in the Top 20. Their song “Big Bottom” only clocks in at #23.
The list also includes the Brady Bunch, the Partridge Family, the Muppet band Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, Homer Simpson’s singing group The Be Sharps, the Banana Splits, and Stillwater from “Almost Famous”.
