While he didn’t publicly support any of the candidates, West Nova Conservative MP Chris d’Entremont says he feels the party is united following Pierre Poilievre’s election.
Also the Deputy Speaker Of The House Of Commons, he’s now sharing his thoughts on the future of the Conservative Party of Canada.
d’Entremont discussed where he wants Poilievre to take them.
“Try to mend the division that has been created by the existing government,” says d’Entremont. “We have to find ways to recognize that the economy is something that is extremely important to us, that we really need to have workers in our areas, to tackle inflation.”
He says the caucus held a meeting on Monday.
“To see what he had to say and what we’re going to be focusing on, I think gave me great comfort that we’re going to be there for what I believe are the important things right now,” says d’Entremont. “Getting back to the fiscal conservatism that I’m used to.”
