Researchers have uncovered the grave of a 17th century vampire!
The female corpse was found in Poland with a sickle placed carefully across her neck to stop her rising from the dead.
Professor Dariusz Poliński, who discovered the body, said: “The sickle was not laid flat but placed on the neck in such a way that if the deceased had tried to get up the head would have been cut off or injured.”
These burial practices were used to quell fears of vampires returning from the grave, and feasting on the living.
I will say it does look like there is one odd looking tooth, so maybe this was necessary.
