It appears a home that survived the Halifax Explosion will avoid the wrecking ball for a least a little while longer.
The green-sided home on Edward Street is owned by Dalhousie.
Boards and furniture were seen being tossed from the 125-year-old home last week.
However, a notice posted at the home indicates the proper permits are not in place for demolition.
The violation notice has delayed any further demolition work for the time being.
Many people feel the home should be saved and given heritage designation.
