We’re just starting to get into the meat of the season and while the names playing this weekend aren’t quite in the echelon of Big Wreck or the Arkells, it’s a night out and a good easing into the busy music summer.
First and foremost, you’ll find an awesome Tragically Hip Tribute show at the Parkside Pub and Smokehouse in Dartmouth on Saturday.
That same night, T. Buckley’s East Coast Tour makes it’s way over to Gottingen St. Meanwhile, just up the way, you’ll find the future of music performing live on the Dal campus. The Scotia Festival of Music: Young Artist Concert hits the stage at the Sir James Dunn Theatre at 7:30pm.
When Sunday strikes, you’ll find a few more shows around the HRM. One of which, you can get really jazzed up for. Horrible segue, but you can catch the 2nd Chances Spring Concert with Jazz Big Band at the Halifax Library. Then to round things out, make your way over to 6199 Chebucto Rd on Sunday night to see Golda Schultz live!
