A homicide investigation is underway after a stabbing in Halifax early Tuesday morning.
Halifax Regional Police were called to Sylvia Avenue and Herring Cove Road shortly before 1 a.m.
Officers found a 37-year-old woman who had been stabbed. She was rushed to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Herring Cove Road has reopened to traffic, although investigators remain on the scene.
Police say further details will be provided when they become available.
