Nova Scotia’s film industry has gotten a massive $23 million dollar shot in the arm.
Tim Houston’s Conservative provincial government has pledged a heck of a lot dough to go towards one of our biggest sectors.
$15 million of the installment will be dispersed over the next five years while an $8 million injection will go towards a new sound stage.
Some our biggest and most noteworthy films and shows include the Lighthouse with Willem Dafoe, the Sinner, Chapelwaite, From and of course Titanic.
We have the scenery and the small town feel regardless of which corner of the province you look. Nova Scotia our film sector can afford to work all year round with this latest grant.
Covid-19 restrictions put a major hamper on our production (in more sectors than one of course), but now that we are getting back to a new form of normalcy it’s expected that we’ll see a huge boost in the variety of projects coming to Atlantic Canada.
