Police received a call about a vehicle stolen from Albro Lake Rd. in Dartmouth at 1:38 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers found it on Windmill Rd. and tried to pull it over, but the driver fled.
They say it wasn’t safe to pursue, so let the vehicle go.
Shortly after the vehicle was again spotted, this time on Hwy. 118, the driver again refused to stop and fled.
Near 3 p.m. RCMP again found the vehicle, on Hwy. 2 in Lantz.
Police say the driver fled again, but lost control of the vehicle and left the road, crashing into a ditch.
The driver got out of the car and tried to flee on foot, but was captured by police.
A 31-year-old man from Dartmouth faces charges including Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property and Flight from Police.
