Tense moments for shoppers and employees at a mall in Halifax.
Shortly after 1 o’clock police were called to a weapons complaint at the Halifax Shopping Centre.
There have been no injuries or gunfire at or near the mall.
The Halifax Regional Centre for Education had placed area schools in a “Hold and Secure” while the investigation was happening but it has been lifted.
***Update: the hold & secure at St. Agnes, St. Catherine’s & Westmount is now lifted.

Police have taken two men into custody in relation to the weapons investigation.
There is no threat to public safety at this time. The Halifax Shopping Center is reopening to the public.
