A scary situation at a jewelry story at the Mic Mac Mall in Darmouth.
A man tried to rob Cresent Gold and Diamond yesterday morning shortly after the store opened.
Police say he smashed the display case and took some jewelry.
However, the man was stopped by mall security and people outside until the cops got there.
Alexander Kenneth Pritchett, 27, is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Wednesday to face charges of robbery and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Meantime, Pritchett is also facing additional charges of theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 in relation to a theft that occurred on August 10, 2020 in Dartmouth.
