The Province is announcing 1.9 million dollars will be spent to upgrade the Legislative TV Control Room.
Some of the upgrades include expanding the room to meet accessibility requirements, upgrades to the electrical and mechanical ventilation system and upgrades to the audio and video equipment that will allow the capability to broadcast main chamber and red chamber sessions simultaneously.
Currently only one can be broadcast at a time.
The control room provides audio and video services for House of Assembly sessions, press conferences, meetings and official record keeping for the Nova Scotia Legislature.
The renovations are expected to finish in the spring.
