A Halifax area RCMP officer has been charged with sexual assault.
The alleged incident took place while the officer was off duty in Ontario on October 2.
Constable Filip Kedzierski works out of the Musquodoboit Harbour detachment.
Kedzierski was charged after an investigation by the Sudbury police.
An internal Code of Conduct investigation is also underway in relation to Cst. Kedzierski’s conduct. Any further actions will be taken once the criminal proceedings and conduct investigation have concluded. – Nova Scotia RCMP
Cst. Kedzierski appeared in Ontario Provincial Court in Sudbury on Tuesday to face the sexual assault charge and is scheduled to appear again at a later date.
He has been suspended with pay.
