You’ll get the chance to lace up your skates for a trip to the Emera Oval before the new year.
The city has announced it will reopen the Oval on December 27th.
This comes after it issued a notice earlier this week saying the date would be pushed forward until at least January 12th due to public health rules.
In an update on Wednesday morning, the municipality says it has confirmed capacity limits with the province and will now launch the winter season next week, weather permitting.
Capacity will be capped at 230 people, per skate time. Access will be provided on a first-come-first-serve basis.
You’ll need to show full proof of COVID-19 vaccination and government-issued photo ID, practice physical distancing, and wear a mask.
Equipment rentals, including skates and helmets, will not be available. You’ll have to bring your own.
