You might want to check your speed if you’re travelling in West End Halifax.
The speed limit is dropping from 50 km/h to 40 km/h between Bayers Road, Windsor Street, Chebucto Road and Connaught Avenue.
That includes the following streets:
-Young Street, from Connaught to Windsor streets
-Cork Street
-Liverpool Street
-London Street
-Edinburgh Street
-Berlin Street
-Vienna Street
-Summit Street
-Seaforth Street
-Swaine Street
-Deacon Street
-Windcrest Terrace
-Willow Street, from Windsor Street to Oxford School
-Dublin Street
-Connolly Street, from Bayers to Chebucto roads
The change excludes Oxford Street, Almon Street, and North Street.
Crews are set to start work next week.
