Everyone is slowly getting into the Christmas Spirit. Lights are going up and The Parade of Lights is happening this Saturday. Soon, everyone will be getting their Christmas Tree and if you’re like Amy, you get yours at IKEA but not this year!
Due to a shortage, IKEA says it will not be selling Christmas trees at Canadian stores this holiday season.
In an update posted to their website, IKEA links the unavailability caused by “industry-wide impacts of COVID-19 on the global supply chain,” adding that they’re experiencing significant delays for certain products both in-store and online.
“We know live trees have been a much-loved tradition for IKEA and our customers over many years, and we sincerely apologize,” IKEA said in a statement. “As you welcome friends and family over the holiday season, we will continue to offer home furnishings that help you create a better everyday life at home. Happy Holidays!”
Luckily, we live in the Christmas Tree capital so we won’t have a shortage (we’ll just have to pay more than $20)
And if your Tree Farm isn’t doing too well, you can do what these guys are doing… a Magic Mike Christmas Tree dance
