A 37-year-old Bedford man is in custody after fleeing police while drunk.
Officers tried to pull a truck over for speeding overnight Wednesday, but the driver didn’t stop.
HRP said the truck was spotted spinning its tires and driving erratically in the early morning hours Thursday.
Police found the truck on Waverley Road and arrested the driver without incident.
The man appeared to be drunk and had a warrant out for his arrest.
His license was revoked.
He’s set to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on December 22 to face charges of Impaired Operation of a Conveyance, Operating a Conveyance with a Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80 mg%, Flight from Police, and Dangerous Operation.
