It feels like a time warp back into the 1700s.
Military members from Canadian Forces Base Halifax have been tasked with the mission of removing about 100 cannonballs from the Fortress of Louisbourg in Cape Breton.
They date back to the 18th Century and are being stored in a building at the National Historic Site by Parks Canada.

Officials believe they contain explosive black powder.
The work will be carried out by the Fleet Diving Unit Atlantic, and is scheduled to continue until November 10th.
The divers are trained to respond to all potential military explosives, both on shore and underwater.
The cannonballs will be taken to CFB Gagetown in New Brunswick and detonated.
