Tests are being run on your water if you live in the Wellington and Fletchers Lake area
A blue-green algae bloom has been detected in the water supply.
Samples taken on Friday show no harmful toxins at the Collins Park Water Supply Plant on Fletchers Lake.
It serves about 85 homes in the area.
Halifax Water customers in this area can continue to use their tap water normally.
Tests are being done to be on the safe side.
Any change in water quality will be communicated to customers as soon as possible.
What area is served by the Collins Park Water Supply Plant?
The Collins Park Water Supply Plant provides water to properties on Hwy #2, Collins Drive, Anthony Drive, Carlheath Drive, Jeffrey Lane, and Belmore Drive in Wellington, NS, and on Brook Street and Day Hollow Drive, in Fletchers Lake.

Residents on or near Fletchers Lake who do not receive water from Halifax Water, but are on a private well, or draw water directly from the lake, should seek guidance from NSECC, as they are the authority on private water supplies.
