Heads up if your weekend plans involve travelling the MacKay Bridge.
A closure is scheduled to allow for the resurfacing of the Dartmouth approach spans, so you’re going to want to take the Macdonald.
Halifax Harbour Bridges says the MacKay will shut down at 7 p.m. on Friday.

It will not reopen until 5:30 a.m. on Monday. The work is weather dependent.
The bridge will also be closed nearly every weekend in August.
