Environment Canada is out with a frost advisory for all of Nova Scotia.
The national weather forecaster says in the Halifax area crops that are prone to frost may see some damage as minimum temperatures are expected to range between zero to four degrees overnight Thursday into Friday morning.
It predicts patchy frost will develop over higher terrain and areas sheltered from wind.
Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
